Hello and welcome to Visioncon’s Organizational web site. In 1990 The Visionnary Guild founded "Visionnary Guild Game Day." In 1991 that became "VisionQuest." In 1992 they changed the name for the last time to VISIONCON. Since 1992, Springfield, Missouri has been the host of Visioncon. An event that has celebrated the pop-culture genres of Science Fiction & Fantasy, while charming guests with a little mid-western hospitality. This site has been put together to help people gain a better understanding of who we are, what we do, and (we hope) why we do what we do. You will find many things here, including pictures taken from previous years. We've also added a directory of pdf versions of the convention books available from previous VISIONCONs, so if you missed a year or just misplaced yours take a look.

“Our goal is to celebrate the genres of Science Fiction & Fantasy in all it’s forms while bringing an understanding and appreciation of those whose creative expression has enriched the lives of all who have enjoyed their work.”

If you like our new fancy site logo, here's a link to the website of the guy that created it. He's also our new staff photographer and he hosts all the "official" pictures from 2010 and 2011.
